Happy New Year!

 

I hope everyone had a happy and healthy 2013 and I wish you the same for 2014.

I know this is a time of year when many of us are considering actions and goals for the forthcoming year and I know that if you are looking at this website you are already addressing your nutritional goals or contemplating the way forward to achieving ‘Good Habits’.

You may also, at this time be, considering embarking on an exercise regime or increasing your levels of activity and fitness. Gaining fitness is not a question of just running for miles and pumping iron.  There are five components of fitness:

 

Cardiovascular Fitness

Muscular Strength

Muscular Endurance

Flexibility

Motor Fitness (involves co-ordination, balance, reaction time)
